Club Team 2012-13: Antakya (Turkey-TKBL) Career: ZKK Merkur Celje (Slovenia-SKL, 2009-11), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D1, 2011-12), Faenza (Italy-A1, 2012), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D1, 2012), Antakya (Turkey-TKBL, 2012-13)
The performances of the center at EuroBasket Women when aged 17 was one of the most eye-catching elements of Montenegro's debut appearance at the tournament. She stood toe-to-toe with seasoned veterans and dished out her physical approach and willingness to fight for space in the low post to compete for rebounds. She doesn't back down from a challenge and that is perhaps generated from the fact that she has always played against more experienced or older players, stepping out at the U16 European Championship when she was just 13. In the course of the last two years, Turcinovic has played in the Women's Supercup for Elitzur Ramla and spent a season playing big minutes in the Turkish League and EuroCup Women with Antakya, although it has been both a bumpy and underwhelming ride at times. The talent is still there and she will be hoping another good tournament will re-ignite further development of her game. |
